RHO KAPPA - Social Studies Honor Society

RHO KAPPA - Social Studies Honor Society is an organization that was founded in 1998 to honor high school students who have excelled in the field of Social Studies. The students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.7 in the Social Studies, with a minimum of four credits. This society was the first of this kind at the secondary level. It honors scholarship with service and was named in honor of Richard Kephart, a devoted and respected educator for more that 30 years at Fort Myers High. Cypress Lake High School Center for the Arts and Cape Coral High have chapters and award medallions to be worn at graduation by the honored students. Their diplomas also have the RHO KAPPA seal affixed.
