Instructional
Technology Curriculum Writing Committee
As a result of the 8th
grade technology literacy requirement of No
Child Left Behind, the Instructional Technology
Curriculum Writing Committee was formed in March
2004.
- This 24 member
committee consisted of 4 administrators, 10
technology specialists, 3 media specialists, and
7 teachers.
- The committee
met monthly to review and develop the
instructional technology curriculum for the
District.
- The curriculum
is based on the National Educational
Technology Standards for Students developed
by the International Society for Technology
in Education.
- All standards
are integrated into at least 2 of the major
content areas.
- Each goal in
the Academic Plan is aligned to the SSS for
the specific content area(s).
- Sample
performance tasks are included for all
standards to support application in the
classroom setting.
