Instructional Technology Curriculum Writing Committee

As a result of the 8th grade technology literacy requirement of No Child Left Behind, the Instructional Technology Curriculum Writing Committee was formed in March 2004.
  • This 24 member committee consisted of 4 administrators, 10 technology specialists, 3 media specialists, and 7 teachers.
  • The committee met monthly to review and develop the instructional technology curriculum for the District.
  • The curriculum is based on the National Educational Technology Standards for Students developed by the International Society for Technology in Education.
  • All standards are integrated into at least 2 of the major content areas.
  • Each goal in the Academic Plan is aligned to the SSS for the specific content area(s).
  • Sample performance tasks are included for all standards to support application in the classroom setting.
