Aquatic Systems/Mosquito Control Education Programs
Grade 5 - Ponds, Puddles and People

This unit is designed to teach fifth grade students about aquatic systems and, specifically, about mosquitoes.   The students will participate in activities that help them learn about the relationship between weather and mosquitoes, the life cycle of the mosquito, diseases transmitted by mosquitoes and mosquito control methods.  Many of the activities were designed to correlate with the Florida Student Performance Objectives in the major fifth grade subject areas.
