Q: Do I have to take the modules in a
certain order?
A: It is highly suggested you take the modules in order.
Q: Is the District the only way I can
become Gifted endorsed?
A: No. Instructional staff may enroll in District inservice opportunities
or register for pre-approved university course work to satisfy training requirements under the
Consent Decree.
Q: How many college courses do I have to take?
A: The Gifted Endorsement Program is 300 hours for the
District. Sixty (60) hours of District work is equal to a three-hour college
course.
Q: Does the State
offer a subject area exam for gifted certification/endorsement?
A: No.
Q: Are the gifted
endorsement courses offered in the online format?
A: The District has developed several courses in
online format. To identify online course offerings from other
institutions contact Cathy Cochrane at
cathycc@leeschools.net .
Q: How do I register for courses?
A: To register for courses log into PeopleSoft from the
LEARN page and navigate to Enterprise Learning Management (ELM).
