ESOL Endorsement Program

Pat Zubal, Coordinator (337-8679)

ESOL Endorsement training is a state-mandated requirement as per the 1990 Multicultural Education Training Advocacy (META) Consent Decree.  Teachers are impacted by the META training requirements once they are first responsible for the instruction of an English Language Learner (ELL) student.  (This should be made known by the school’s ESOL Contact person).

Pursuant to a modification of META issued in September 2003, administrators and guidance counselors are required to complete ESOL training within three years of hire.
