ESOL Endorsement for Reading Teachers

One of the options available to teachers who have already earned the Reading Endorsement is the ESOL for Reading Teachers (E-R-T). The reverse crosswalk awards teachers with the Reading Endorsement 120 points/hours towards the ESOL endorsement.  In addition, two ESOL courses and the completion of a practicum will be necessary to complete the 300-hours ESOL Endorsement. The two required ESOL courses are Applied Linguistics and Methods of Teaching ESOL.  The DOE is in the process of releasing the guidelines for the practicum.  Information will be posted on this web site as soon as it becomes available.
