ESOL Endorsement District Training

ESOL endorsement trainings are offered in a classroom setting and online three times a year: first semester, second semester, and during the summer. Classes are provided based on priority and space available.

All in-class courses meet once a week for ten weeks from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (30 hours in-class and 30 hours of outside assignments).

To register for courses log into PeopleSoft from the LEARN page and navigate to Enterprise Learning Management (ELM).

You can check or change your registration status at any time by clicking on the All Learning link while logged into the system.

Attendance
As professional educators and support personnel attending District-sponsored inservice, 100% attendance is expected to ensure successful course completion.  Absence from a class should be for illness or emergency reasons only. Attendance at the first session of a course is mandatory.

Full inservice points are awarded when a participant is in attendance a minimum of 80% of the “in-class” time and meets a minimum of 80% of the course objectives. Inservice points will not be pro-rated for partial attendance or partial completion of course objectives.

Participants who arrive 15 minutes or more after the session start will not be allowed to stay for the training.  Available seats are given to participants from the “Wait List.”

Because of insurance liability children are not permitted in classes.
